Damjana Derham has been practicing as a Charted Physiotherapist for nineteen years and developed extensive experience in the NHS where she continues to practice as an Extended Scope Practitioner within the orthopaedics. She has longstanding experience in orthopaedics, trauma, outpatients, pain management and sports injuries. Twelve years ago Damjana opened a private practice in Poynton providing assessment, treatment and advice for various musculoskeletal conditions both acute and chronic, as well as post operative rehabilitation, back pain, whiplash, sports injuries and injection therapy. She also practices at The Ryley Mount Consulting Rooms on Wednesdays and Fridays. She was involved in a back pain research project, sponsored by the University of Manchester, was team leader for the National Back Pain Collaborative, Wave III and jointly presented a research paper entitled "Stage related response to steroid injections in the thumb carpo-metacarpal joint", British Society of The Hand, Valladolid, Spain, 2005. Damjana is a member of The Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (CSP), Health Professions Council (HPC), The Organisation of Chartered Physiotherapists in Private Practice (OCPPP) and The Association of Chartered Physiotherapists with interest in Orthopaedic Medicine and Injection Therapy.
